I am currently a freelance entertainment photographer based in the Midwest. I have taken photographs at shows ranging from Kansas City, Chicago, Denver, and Texas. I was first introduced to photography in high school through journalism classes. From then on, I fell in love with taking pictures of anything and everything.
My love for attending concerts made my interest in live music photography blossom. Many of the older photographs featured on this site were taken from the crowd. Waiting in line for hours to secure a spot in the front row and taking pictures from the crowd was my main method of photographing concerts. Grinding it out in the crowd, instead of the photo pit, gave me a great appreciation for concert photography.
Music photography is not the only style of photography I enjoy. I love taking portraits of people. Whether for senior pictures or while hanging out with my friends, I love to capture the personality of others. I am also currently the photographer for Zou Crew, the official Men's basketball student section at the University of Missouri. I love capturing the emotion of the student section as they react to the basketball game.
Recently, I worked as a photography intern at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO. I was able to photograph artists such as SOMO and Kacey Musgraves. In October of 2016, I was able to work with Neck Deep for one date on the Made to Destroy Tour in Kansas City.
I am the creator of an online music blog, The Barricade. The blog features photo galleries, concert reviews, and exclusive interviews with people in the music industry. The blog gives me an outlet to write about my love for music and share my photography with others.
